Victory Sim Racing Driver Chris Rhynold Makes Return To iRacing.

Victory Sim Racing driver Chris Rhynold returned to iRacing in January or 2025. After being on hiatus from iRacing since 2019 Rhynold spent the later month of January and the month of February testing and figuring what cars and series fit him best. Rhynold has been pretty good in the 600 Micros (Winged & Non Wing), DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, DIRTcar Limited Late Models and as of recent the ARCA Menards Series and CARS Late Model Stocks.
“Its definately been a transition back to iRacing from RFactor and a bunch has changed since 2018” says Rhynold. “Ive always been a dirt guy and I really enjoy the Northeast Dirt Modifieds and the Micro Sprints but as of late I’ve had some really good runs in the ARCA & CARS Series cars. I’ve been fairly consistent in the ARCA cars and the Micro Sprints.”
The decision came in the middle of January after building a new water looped computer over Christmas that can handle pretty much any game you can throw at it. With the addition of the computer it was time for some new sim racing equipment. Originally Rhynold had a VRX Simulator rig that Microsoft used to use as a Forza promotional rig and a Logitech G920 was the wheel of choice at the time. Due room restrictions Rhynold sold the VRX and downsized to a Playseat.
“After building the new computer I was kicking around the idea of getting back into iRacing and my son in law had just bought a new sim rig and moza wheel and pedal set-up. Setting it all up he asked me to jump in it and see what I thought and that was the end of that, I needed new stuff. So we went shopping. I ended up picking up an Advanced Sim Racing ASR4 Sim Rig (Thanks to Stefano from SimHUB Race Lounge in Vaughn Ontario) Moza R9 Wheel Base, Moza RS V2 Steering Wheel and Moza CRP Load Cell Pedals. Man, what a difference. 1000 times better than the old Logitech set-up.” stated Rhynold.
Starting Season 2 the main focus is going to be with the ARCA Menards Series, Winged & Non Winged Micros and the 358 & Big Block Modified and dabble with a couple other cars such as the DIRTcar Limited Late Models and Global MX-5 Challenge Series
